"Gospel, According To Pippa Wilson"

(it’s like a newspaper, but on
the World Wide Web)
“Indeed, chapter & verse.......And, Amen!! This is
my 3'rd outing with Pippa from ''Down Under.'' We've never met,
but she seems the engaging soul in the e-mail dialogues we've
had relating to her requests for my reviews to her CD projects.
Pippa is an easy review, as she is a chanteuse with a musician's
mind.......
This disc, her vocal study in songs with religious overtones.
Pippa elevates these tunes usually considered to be docile
or blase, to nothing short of facile & inventive.
Her vocal delivery leaps out at you with mood, and gaiety,
& yes, ironically, even with lust. However, this is a musical
homily for all faiths. To draw a literary comparison to Pippa
Wilson's style of vocal delivery: Her music draws a ''clear
picture''......She ''describes her characters'' exactly........She
leaves us with ''little doubt.'' Pippa's music conveys a story,
a picture, an idea for our musical imagination to ponder......This
ís the clearest proof of the validity of her vocal concept."
